New Paper Sessions 2020

Leiden University will be hosting the second edition of the New Paper Sessions for economists on 17 June 2020 (online). This initiative by the Royal Dutch Economic Association KVS aims to create a platform where economists in the Netherlands can obtain valuable feedback on their work. Starting researchers are particularly encouraged to apply.

Last year, over thirty economists from all parts of the Netherlands presented their paper during the first edition of the New Paper Sessions.

This year there will be a keynote by Johannes Spinnewijn (London School of Economics).

Johannes Spinnewijn is an Associate Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics. He is a leading scholar in the field of public economics, in particular social insurance and taxation. After his Bachelor and Master studies in Leuven and Bruxelles, he did a PhD in Economics at MIT. His research was awarded with several prizes. He is a co-editor at the Journal of Public Economics.

Update: the New Paper sessions will take place in an online environment this year, using the software Zoom. You will receive a personalized link to log in to the sessions via email.
